Volare wins Microbus Brand of the Year. The leading Brazilian brand in the microbus segment received the Lotus 2020 Award promoted by Editora Frota. The company was recognized for its sales performance and market leadership in the segment in 2019.
According to João Paulo Ledur, director of Volare, the Lotus Award is important because it highlights the brands with the highest sales penetration across the country in different categories and segments within the Brazilian market. “Volare had an excellent market performance in 2019. We have grown in all segments and maintained our leadership with more than 50% market share”, explains the executive.
In the Microbus Brand of the Year, Volare obtained the largest share of retail sales with 2,051 units sold, which resulted in 52.6% market share. Volare has been a market leader in the Brazilian mini and microbus industry for over 20 years. The company manufactures buses for the urban, road, intercity, school and charter and tourism segments. The vehicles stand out for their versatility, use of space for the configuration of the bus body and, consequently, greater capacity for passenger transport, in addition to being versatile and economic with low operating costs.
The Lotus Award is granted to manufacturers and distributors of commercial vehicles, whose products and brands have won the preference of Brazilian buyers. The winners have best sales results within the domestic market in the previous year, according to data from Fenabrave (National Federation of Motor Vehicle Distribution).
