Volare: Brazilian leader that stands out for innovation and close relationship to customers and users

Volare, a light vehicle manufacturer and business unit of Marcopolo S.A., celebrates its 20th annyversary in June. It has achieved great success in Brazil and abroad with the production of a diverse line of vehicles, having as main differential the development of innovative, functional, robust and personalized minibuses for the tourism, charter, school, urban, road and driving school segments, among others. To celebrate its anniversary, the brand will present during this year, important innovations in its line of vehicles with new bold designs.

"In these 20 years, we've become market leaders in Brazil in the segment of micro and mini-buses and we have more than 50% market share. We are recognized for the continuous launch of new models and versions that have transformed the brand into a reference in transportation, from urban to tourism or school buses" explains João Paulo Ledur, director of the Volare business.

More than 65,000 units were sold in only two decades. Since 2007, about 15,000 vehicles have been allocated to the Federal Government Program "Caminho da Escola" (Pathway to School) for several Brazilian municipalities.

Currently, Volare has two manufacturing plants: one in Caxias do Sul, state of Rio Grande do Sul, and another in São Mateus, state of Espírito Santo. The company has 1.2 thousand employees and has grown by more than 20% in the last year with 1,215 units sold in the domestic market in 2017, against 1,013, registered in 2016, and  400 for the external market. In addition, it has an extensive network of dealerships in the main cities of Brazil and abroad, totaling 50 points in the domestic market and 30 in the foreign market.

To celebrate this important date and trajectory of success and to talk to all the public who have contact and admiration for the brand, Volare has prepared great news. In addition to the facelift of its vehicles: new logo design inspired by automotive trends, and new nomenclature for its product line, it will also promote digital actions such as an interactive quiz aimed at bus lovers called the Volare Game - a game for everyone who wants to have fun as well as deepen their knowledge about the brand in its 20 years. Another action is the creation of Volare Play, a physical game of cards that proposes a competition among the players to compare the characteristics of the main Volare models, aiming at telling the history of the brand since 1998, through the innovation of its products.

To reach all audiences and mark the beginning of the commemorative campaign "Winds of Change. Volare 20th Anniversary, "Volare has launched a new institutional film. The production was recorded in Peru, it gives voice to the brand and portrays, in a personal way, its evolution over time and its closeness to people.

According to Ledur, "We chose Peru because our vehicles have been transporting a large number of tourists on the way to Macchu Picchu for many years. This stunning setting, full of history and with the magnitude needed to represent a date as important as our 20th anniversary. "
