Manufacturer focuses on vehicles for the urban and electric segments and virtual reality
Volare was part of the Transpúblico exhibition and presented Volare.e, its latest 100% electric vehicle developed in partnership with BYD - a world leader in the development of powertrain for electric vehicles. The company also exhibited its vehicles for public urban transport with emphasis on the W9 SPTrans and Volare Access.
The new electric Volare is unique in its category all over the world because it has reduced length and weight and offers low floor, pneumatic suspension and zero emission. The completely new vehicle is ideal for the use in urban centers offering more internal space. Its battery configuration and powertrain position provide maximum efficiency, lower operating costs and total weight reduction (one of the biggest challenges of electric vehicles for the transport of passengers).
The new vehicle is 9,095mm long, 2,985mm high and 2,360mm wide, with low floor, rear wheel drive and capacity for about 45 passengers (20 seated and 25 standing). It features 90 kW BYD engine and 450 Nm of maximum torque. The new vehicle also has regenerative system of braking energy for more efficient energy use. Another differential is its the three-hour total recharge time.
Virtual reality
Another highlight of Volare at Transpúblico was the use of VR technology to allow visitors' interaction with premium vehicles used for receptive tourism and business segments. The VR googles also allowed a virtual tour in the factory in Espirito Santo and onto the vehicle models of the brand.
Volare Access
Volare Access is the first minibus in the Brazilian market with lowered floor, rear engine and Full Air suspension. Designed to provide total accessibility with greater comfort and safety for up to 26 passengers (according to the configuration and version defined), it provides greater internal space and a wheelchair-only area, in addition to wide panoramic views due to its larger glazed windows.
Full Air pneumatic suspension, full lowering system and the access ramp make it easier, faster and safer for boarding and disembarking children and people with special needs. The suspension system with six air bags significantly reduces vibrations providing a smooth and comfortable ride to passengers.
Equipped with 162 Hp Cummins ISF 3.8 rear engine, 600 Nm at 1,500 rpm and power steering, it has an electronically managed cooling system with four electric fans which reduces noise levels ensuring constant operating temperature. The vehicle can have manual or automatic shift options.
W9 Standard SPTrans
In order to meet SPTrans's standards, Volare has developed an innovative vehicle that combines robustness, economy and comfort to meet transportation needs in the urban area of the Greater São Paulo.
The vehicle has 8,900 mm length, 3,195 height and 2,360 mm width, with 162 Hp Cummins ISF 3.8 engine and capacity to carry 25 seated and 13 standing passengers, in addition to the driver. It is equipped with USB ports for charging electronic equipment according to the technology standards established by SPTrans, air conditioning system and glazed windows, ensuring more thermal comfort and premium standards.
Another differential of the Volare vehicle is the higher resale value compared to competing models.
