Volare, the leading Brazilian brand in the microbus segment, was once again awarded the Lotus Award 2021, promoted by Editora Frota, in the Microbus Brand of the Year category. The company was recognized for its sales performance and market leadership in the segment in 2020.

According to Sidnei Vargas, commercial manager at Volare, winning the Lotus Award 2021 demonstrates and recognizes all the initiatives that the brand has made to maintain a close relationship with customers and passengers, despite all the restrictions faced over the past year. “Volare maintained its leadership in the market in 2020 and innovated by offering vehicles with the biosafety solutions from Marcopolo´s BioSafe platform. We are collaborating to resume transport and mobility in the country”, the executive explains.

In the Microbus Brand of the Year category, Volare obtained the highest volume in total sales in the segment, with 1,968 units, which resulted in a 44.44% market share. Leader for over 20 years in the Brazilian minibus market, the company has a line of products for the urban, road, intercity, school, charter and tourism segments. The models stand out for their versatility, better use of space for configuration of the bodywork and, consequently, a greater capacity for passenger transport, in addition to being versatile, economical and having low operating costs.

The Lotus Award is granted to manufacturers and distributors of commercial vehicles whose products and brands have won over Brazilian buyers. The winners are recognized by their results in domestic market sales from the previous year, according to Fenabrave´s data.
