With the micro bus market heated due to chartering and the boost in the agribusiness, mining and health care markets, Volare, Marcopolo's business unit, started sales of the New Attack line, launched at the end of May, with 200 units to be shipped to the states of Amazonas and Bahia.
According to Sidnei Vargas, Volare's national sales manager, the new line will reinforce and expand the brand's leadership in the Brazilian market. “We seek to apply evolution to a line that has achieved great success since its launch. We kept all the attributes recognized by customers and users and raised the standards of quality, safety and finish even higher”, the executive highlights.
Known for its preference for mini buses, the city of Manaus (AM) has consolidated itself as one of the main markets in the country for the company in sales of this model. In the first quarter of 2021 alone, Volare delivered 43 vehicles to customers in the Amazonian capital, which represents a market share of 58.9% in the state. Now, a few weeks after the launch of the New Attack line, 75 units of the New Attack 8 model were delivered to eight Manaus companies through the Macrobus dealership.
In Bahia, the Regional Health Care Polyclinics are changing the reality of medium and high complexity care. Built in 17 municipalities in the interior of the state and each being a reference for up to 600 thousand inhabitants of the location and surrounding cities, they offer consultations with doctors in 18 specialties, graphic and imaging exams, in addition to surgical procedures. The vehicles purchased allow the population to have access to services close to home, without having to travel long distances or wait long to receive care. Volare was the winner of a tender opened by the Bahia State Health Department for the purchase of 125 mini buses of the New Attack 9 model, to be delivered by the Peça Fácil dealership.
The sale of 200 units, right after presentation to the market, reinforces Volare's bet on the minibus segment, which already represents the company's net revenue in the first quarter of this year above BRL 270 million, a growth of 92% when compared to the same period in 2020.
