In partnership with SMT, its representative in the region, the objective is to expand its presence in the continent.
In line with its strategy of increasing its international presence, Volare is intensifying its operations across the African continent. In June, the Brazilian brand, in partnership with its SMT representative, carried out an action in Douala, Cameroon, to advertise the different Volare models developed for the region, specially the Fly 10 for intercity use.
According to Rodrigo Bisi, Volare's export manager, the goal is to consolidate the Volare brand in the African continent. Therefore, in addition to expanding its exports in recent years, it has appointed representatives with significant coverage in the region to increase points of sale and technical assistance service to customers.
“SMT has been a Volare partner since 2015 and as the leading Volvo dealer for commercial vehicles in Africa and Europe, present in 26 countries worldwide, it has the structure and technical staff needed to leverage Volare vehicle sales,” states Rodrigo Bisi.
According to Bisi, one of the most promising markets for Volare vehicles is Cameroon. “We have already sold, through SMT, about 40 units to customers in that country and our goal is to expand the business,” he emphasizes.
Initially, the focus is on stimulating the Fly 10 sales for the intercity transport of Cameroonian customers. The Fly 10 designed for Cameroon is 10m long, features MWM Acteon 4.12 tce diesel engine and can carry 34 passengers seated in 940mm Executive-type seats upholstered in Couroflex. The vehicle has a rear luggage compartment with great access and 4,000 litres capacity. The vehicle also features air conditioning, audio and video systems with two monitors, electrical outlets and USB ports. Another unique characteristic of the Fly 10 is the full partition wall between the driver’s cabin and passenger saloon, ensuring more comfort and privacy.
