Volare, a leading manufacturer in the minibus and microbus segment for people transportation has developed a specific model of the Volare Urban Attack 8 for transport operators in the city of Campos de Goytacazes, in the state of Rio de Janeiro. The bus was developed to meet the public tender requirements of the city to modernize and improve its transportation system.
“Volare believes that it is essential to develop a bus model for the Campos de Goytacazes feeder system that ensures more efficiency for operators, as well as comfort and safety for passengers,” explains Sidnei Vargas, Volare's national sales manager. Until then, the city's feeder system was composed by smaller vehicles that didn’t have the same configuration and advantages.
The Urban Attack 8 developed for Campos de Goytacazes combines robustness with low maintenance costs and offers full accessibility and a wider aisle with more space for circulation in the passenger saloon. The vehicle is equipped with 152 hp in the Cummins ISF 3.8 Euro 5 engine and ABS and pneumatic braking system, offering less fuel consumption for increased savings and profitability.
With capacity of 20 passengers seated in City-type upholstered seats and up to 10 standing passengers, it also has wheelchair space, sliding windows for better ventilation, LED ceiling lights, 12v power plug on the dashboard and electronic destination display. It has a semi-automatic lift, air conditioning system, high-resistance flooring, two-leaf urban door (front and rear) with door brake system which ensures more efficiency in urban traffic, providing more comfort and convenience for passengers. Also offering more comfort to the driver, the vehicle features a hydraulic-cushioned driver's seat and half partition wall.
