Volare contributes to the resumption of mobility and the local economy
during the pandemic
Volare, the microbus brand of Marcopolo group, has just delivered the first microbus with the biosafety solutions of the Marcopolo BioSafe platform in the south of the country. The deal is part of the resumption of the industry in the region: the vehicle acquired through the Volare Local dealership will be used by the charter company Vida Amiga to transport employees of the pulp company Rigesa, which is based in Três Barras (SC).
The platform has a series of innovations developed to make public transport safer against virus infection, including Covid-19 as well as bacteria. For this reason, the Volare Fly 10 features seats within safe distance, arranged in three individual rows, instead of the traditional double seats, seat coverings and curtains in antimicrobial fabric, among other internal finishing details.
“In this way, we are contributing to the safe resumption of the local economy in this critical scenario. Our goal is to always bring mobility solutions through innovations that favour both companies and passengers”, says Sidnei Vargas, the national manager of Volare’s domestic market.
Volare is the microbus leader in Brazil with 53% market share. The company produced 2,649 units in 2019. In the first half of this year, 1,089 units were produced. The brand exports to 35 countries, being also a leader in the international market, together with Marcopolo.
