LOTUS AWARD RECOGNIZES VOLARE AS BRAND OF THE YEAR IN MICRO BUSES

Volare, a business unit of Marcopolo S.A., won the 2017 Lotus Award from Editora Frota (Frota Publishing Company) in the category of the Micro Bus Brand of the Year. The Brazilian leader in the production of light vehicles for the transportation of passengers was recognized for its sales performance and leadership in the segment in 2016.

 

"This achievement is very important for Volare because it strengthens our position as a manufacturer and leader in the segment of light vehicles for the transportation of people," says João Paulo Ledur, the Volare Business Manager.

 

According to Ledur, the achievement is due to the recognition by the market of the quality, robustness and advantages offered by our vehicles. "We have led the segment for 18 years with products that offer technological innovations, modern design, comfort and safety."

 

Volare was awarded for its leadership in the segment of light commercial vehicles (total gross weight up to 10,000 kg) to transport people with a total of 1,368 units sold, reaching 77.78% market share. The Volare V8, W9 and W-L models were among the top sellers.

 

The Lotus Prize is the market's recognition of Volare's unique features such as technology, high standards of quality, robustness and greater resale value. The award is given to manufacturers and distributors of commercial vehicles, whose products and brands have won the preference of Brazilian buyers. The winners are known through the results of sales in the domestic market in the previous year according to data from FENABRAVE (National Federation for the Distribution of Automotive Vehicles).
